Why AirPlay Stops Working Sometimes
AirPlay is Apple’s cool feature to mirror or stream iPhone screen to TV or Mac. But many users face problems like device not showing, black screen or sudden disconect. It can happen because of network glitch or software bugs.
Check Your WiFi First
AirPlay not working needs both devices on same WiFi network.
If your iPhone and TV or Mac are on different networks, AirPlay will not work.
Fix:
- Go to WiFi settings and connect both on same network
- Restart your WiFi router
Restart Devices
Sometimes your iPhone or Apple TV just needs a quick restart.
It refreshes all connection and fix temporary glitch.
Steps:
- Turn off both iPhone and Apple TV
- Wait 10 seconds and turn them on again
Update Software
Old software cause bugs. Make sure your devices have latest iOS or tvOS.
Steps:
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update
- Download and install if update is availble
Reset Network Settings
If still not working, try resetting network on iPhone
Steps:
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings
