Fix Lag Issues in iOS Screen Mirroring

Screen mirroring from iPhone or iPad to TV or other big screens is a really useful feature. But many people face lag or delay problems which spoil the experience. If you are also having lag while using iOS screen mirroring then there are some easy ways to fix this problem.

Check Your WiFi Connection

Most lag happens because of WiFi. Both devices, meaning your iPhone and the device you mirror to, should be on the same WiFi network. If WiFi is weak or signal is low then screen mirroring becomes slow. Try to stay close to the router and avoid many devices using the same WiFi at the same time.

Close Background Apps

Often apps running in the background slow down the system speed. Before starting screen mirroring close unnecessary apps on your phone. This helps your phone work more smoothly and reduces lag.

Restart Your Devices

Sometimes even a simple restart can remove lag. Restart your iPhone and your TV or the device you are mirroring to fix temporary issues.

Update iOS and Apps

Old software can also cause problems. Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version. Also check for updates of the app or device you are using for mirroring. Updates often fix bugs and lag problems.

Lower Screen Resolution

If your TV or device has the option try lowering the screen resolution. High resolution uses more data which sometimes causes lag. Lower resolution makes mirroring smoother.

Try Wired Connection

If wireless mirroring lags a lot try wired connection like Lightning to HDMI adapter. Wired connection is more stable and faster than wireless so lag is almost removed.
